Works well but interface is dated
Functionally, it does everything promised regarding caller ID and recording. However, the software interface looks a bit old-fashioned compared to modern apps. It gets the job done, though.

Great functionality, minor cable issue
The call logging feature is exactly what our small business needed. It records clearly and organizes contacts well. I deducted one star because the included phone cable felt a bit short for my desk layout, but I bought a longer one separately.

Good value for money
For the price, you get a solid piece of hardware that bridges the gap between landlines and computers effectively. Setup took about 10 minutes. Would buy again for our branch offices.

Q: Does this device work with VoIP lines or only traditional landlines?
A: The Zipei Phone Companion is designed primarily for traditional analog landline (PSTN) connections via the RJ11 port. It may not be fully compatible with all VoIP adapters depending on the signal output.

A: Currently, the full-featured software is optimized for Windows 10 and 11. While basic plug-and-play functionality might work on macOS, advanced features like automatic contact syncing are best experienced on Windows.

A: The device itself can display basic caller ID on its small onboard screen if supported by your phone line, but full logging and pop-up notifications require the computer to be on and the software running.
