SDK integration was smooth

Perfect for our small call center
We needed a reliable way to record four distinct lines without complex server setups. This Zipei box plugged right into our workstation and started recording immediately. The pop-up screen is a nice touch for quick status checks.

Reliable and stable
Running this 24/7 for three months now with zero crashes. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the USB cable could be a bit longer. Otherwise, it handles the load perfectly.

Easy to manage call logs
I am not tech-savvy, but the interface is intuitive. Being able to see which line is active on the pop-up screen helps us manage incoming calls better. The search function for old recordings is very fast.
Q: Does the pop-up screen show the caller ID number?
A: Yes, provided your telephone service transmits Caller ID data, the pop-up screen will display the incoming number, time, and the specific channel line receiving the call.
Q: Does this device work with VoIP phones or only analog landlines?
A: The Zipei 4-Line Recording Box is primarily designed for analog telephone lines. For VoIP, you would need to use an ATA adapter to convert the signal to analog before connecting to this device.
Q: Is the SDK compatible with Python or only C++?
A: Our SDK includes libraries and examples for C++, C#, and Python, allowing flexible integration with various custom applications and scripts.
Q: Can I access the recordings remotely over the internet?
A: The device stores files locally on the connected PC or attached drive. To access them remotely, you must set up file sharing or remote desktop access on the host computer; the device itself does not have built-in Wi-Fi or cloud streaming.
Q: What happens if the PC goes to sleep? Does recording stop?
A: Yes, recording depends on the host PC being active. We recommend adjusting your Windows power settings to prevent the computer from entering sleep mode while the recording software is running.
