Good hardware, basic features
The recording quality is excellent and the build feels sturdy. However, if you are looking for cloud integration or smartphone app control, this isn't it. It is a purely standalone device, which is fine for my needs but worth noting.

Perfect for my home office
I needed a reliable way to record client calls without using my computer. This device was incredibly easy to set up. Just plug it in between the wall jack and the phone, insert an SD card, and it works immediately. The sound quality is crisp and clear.

Solid performer

Great value, simple interface
Does exactly what it says on the box. No software installation needed which is a huge plus for me. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the manual could be slightly more detailed regarding the voice activation sensitivity settings.

Reliable and standalone
I love that this doesn't require a PC running in the background. It sits quietly by my phone and records everything automatically. Retrieving files from the SD card is fast when I need to listen to specific conversations later.

Saved me during a dispute
We had a disagreement with a vendor about what was promised over the phone. Having this recorder allowed us to pull up the exact conversation instantly. It paid for itself immediately. Highly recommend for small business owners.
Q: What happens if the power goes out? Will I lose my recordings?
A: Recordings are saved directly to the SD card, so they remain safe even during a power outage. If you have batteries installed in the backup compartment, the device will continue to operate and record new calls until power is restored.
Q: Does this record both sides of the conversation clearly?
A: Absolutely. The device is engineered to capture both the incoming and outgoing audio streams clearly, provided the telephone line signal is strong. We recommend testing the volume levels after initial setup to ensure optimal clarity.
Q: Can I transfer the recorded files to my computer easily?
A: Yes, simply remove the SD card from the device and insert it into your computer's card reader or use an SD adapter. The files are stored in a standard audio format that can be played on most media players.
Q: Is there a way to know when the SD card is full?
A: Yes, the LCD screen will display a 'Memory Full' indicator when the storage capacity is reached. At this point, the device will stop recording new messages until space is freed up or the card is replaced.
Q: Does this device work with VoIP phone systems?
A: The R100 is designed specifically for standard analog landline connections. While it may work with some VoIP adapters that provide an analog port, compatibility is not guaranteed for all digital VoIP setups.
