Great value, simple setup
I was worried about complex installation, but it took less than 5 minutes to set up between my wall jack and the phone. The only reason for 4 stars is that the manual could be slightly more detailed regarding file management.

No software headaches
I specifically wanted something that didn't require installing drivers or software on my laptop. This Arteck unit is truly standalone. Plug in the USB, retrieve files later, and you are done.

Perfect for small business records
This device does exactly what it says. No computer needed, just plug in a USB drive and it starts recording automatically when the phone rings. The audio quality is clear enough to hear every detail of the conversation.

Good for landlines
Works perfectly with my standard corded landline. I haven't tested it extensively with VoIP yet, but for traditional phones, the connection is stable and recordings are easy to access via any computer.

The recording function is excellent and the sound is crisp. However, the box itself is a bit larger than I expected, so it takes up noticeable space on my nightstand next to the phone.

Reliable and discreet
Been using this for three months now to keep records of client calls. It sits quietly on the desk and works flawlessly. Voice activation saves a lot of space on the USB drive by skipping silence.
Q: Does this record both sides of the conversation clearly?
A: Yes, the device captures both incoming and outgoing audio streams directly from the phone line, ensuring both parties are recorded clearly provided the phone line signal is strong.
Q: Does this device work with digital phone systems or only analog?
A: The Arteck AR100 is designed primarily for analog landline connections. While it may work with some VoIP adapters that provide an analog port, it is not compatible with purely digital office phone systems without an analog converter.
Q: What happens if the power goes out? Will I lose my recordings?
A: The device requires constant power to record new calls. If the power goes out, it will stop recording until power is restored. However, recordings already saved to the USB flash drive will remain safe and intact.
Q: Can I use a 64GB USB drive with this recorder?
A: The manufacturer officially supports USB drives up to 32GB for optimal compatibility and performance. Using a 64GB drive may result in the device not recognizing the storage or experiencing file errors.
