Lovely patina

The color is rich and deep. It arrived well-packaged with no scratches. It takes a moment to get used to the shape for resting larger brushes, but for standard calligraphy brushes, it is ideal.

Solid and stable

Unlike lighter resin versions I have owned before, this solid brass piece does not slide around on the desk. The ruler markings on the side are a nice bonus feature that I actually use frequently.

Beautiful but smaller than expected
