Perfect gift for artists
Bought this for my husband who loves watercolor painting. He uses it both to hold his sketchbook open and as a rest for his wet brushes. The finish is smooth and doesn't snag the paper.

Beautiful but shows fingerprints
The design is lovely and it works great as a book weight. The only minor issue is that the polished brass areas show fingerprints easily, so I find myself wiping it down often.
