High quality components

Perfect replacement for my CR-6 SE

My original hotend started clogging frequently, so I ordered this assembly. Installation was straightforward and took about 20 minutes. Prints are back to perfect quality with no layer shifting.

Good value, minor fitment issue

The heating cartridge works great and reaches temperature quickly. The fan shroud required a tiny bit of sanding to fit perfectly, but otherwise, it's a solid upgrade.

Works but instructions missing

The part itself functions well, but the package did not include any installation guide. I had to watch a YouTube video to figure out the wiring order. Would be 5 stars with better documentation.

5 FAQ

Q: Can this handle ABS filament?

A: While the heater can reach the necessary temperatures, the CR-6 SE stock enclosure and bed adhesion are optimized for PLA, PETG, and TPU. Printing ABS may require additional modifications to your printer setup.

Q: What is the length of the thermistor wires?

A: The thermistor wires are approximately 1.2 meters long, which matches the original factory specifications to ensure they reach the mainboard comfortably.

Q: Does this come pre-assembled or do I need to put the nozzle in myself?

A: The unit comes as a full hotend assembly with the nozzle already installed and tightened. You only need to mount it to your printer and connect the wires.

Q: Do I need to recalibrate my E-steps after installing this?

A: Generally, no. Since the extruder motor and drive gear remain unchanged, your E-steps should remain accurate. However, we always recommend printing a calibration cube to verify dimensions after any hardware change.

Q: Is this compatible with the standard CR-6 or only the SE version?

A: This assembly is specifically designed for the CR-6 SE model due to differences in the mounting bracket and fan configuration. It is not compatible with the standard CR-6.
