Good product, wrong soil type

The build quality is fantastic, but I tried using it on very hard, rocky ground where it wouldn't penetrate. It works great in softer soil or sand, just be aware of your terrain.

Great value, slightly stiff rotation

For the price, this is an excellent rod holder. It slides into soft ground easily. The only minor issue is that the rotation mechanism was a bit tight out of the box, but it loosened up after a few uses.
