Good value pack
The sheets are easy to cut and wrap around the heating block. One sheet is usually enough for two printers. My only minor complaint is that it sheds a little bit when first handling it.

Does the job well
Solid insulation material. It definitely helps maintain consistent nozzle temperatures during long prints. I deducted one star only because the packaging was a bit crushed upon arrival, though the product was fine.

Must-have accessory
If you are printing with materials requiring higher temperatures, this is a must-have. It reduces energy consumption slightly and improves print quality by minimizing thermal creep.

Essential for high-temp prints
This cotton insulation works perfectly with my Ultimaker 2+. It keeps the heat focused on the nozzle and prevents layer shifting caused by temperature fluctuations. Highly recommended for ABS printing.

Stable temperatures achieved
Since installing this insulation, my PID tuning has been much more stable. The heater doesn't cycle as frequently, which should extend the life of the heating element. Great product.

Easy to install
I was worried about fitting it correctly, but the material is flexible and conforms easily to the block shape. It fits my Makerbot Replicator perfectly without blocking any sensors.
Q: What is the thickness of each sheet?
A: Each sheet has a thickness of approximately 3mm, which provides an excellent balance between insulation performance and space constraints.
Q: Can this insulation be used with a E3D V6 hotend?
A: Yes, this cotton insulation is universal and can be trimmed to fit most standard heating blocks, including the E3D V6.
Q: Does this come with adhesive backing?
A: No, this product does not have adhesive backing. It is intended to be held in place by the printer's existing fan shroud or a silicone sock.
Q: Is this material safe if it touches the melted plastic?
A: The insulation is designed to wrap the heating block, not the melt zone. However, the material is non-toxic and flame retardant, posing minimal risk if accidental contact occurs.
Q: How many times can I reuse a single sheet?
A: While it depends on how carefully you remove it, a single sheet can typically be reused 3 to 5 times before it loses its structural integrity.
