Great switch, but no tip included
The quality is top-notch and definitely made in the USA as advertised. Just remember you need to buy the switch tip separately, which wasn't immediately clear to me. Otherwise, it works flawlessly.

Best upgrade for vintage reissues
I put this in a Squier Classic Vibe to bring it up to spec. The difference in feel is night and day. The contacts are tight, and there is no static when moving between positions.

Good product, requires careful soldering
The switch itself is excellent. As a beginner, I found the lugs a bit close together, so you need a fine tip iron. Once installed, the guitar sounds and feels professional.

Perfect fit for my American Strat
Installed this on my 2015 Stratocaster without any issues. The spacing was perfect, and the solder lugs are easy to work with. It eliminated the crackling noise I had with the old switch.

A: Absolutely. This is a standard CRL 5-way switch commonly used for both Stratocasters and Telecasters equipped with 5-way wiring kits.
Q: What is the difference between this and the imported version?
A: The American-made version features higher quality brass contacts, a more durable spring mechanism, and tighter tolerances, resulting in a smoother feel and longer lifespan.
Q: Will this fit a standard import Stratocaster copy?
A: Yes, this switch uses standard imperial sizing which fits most import guitars, though you may need to slightly widen the mounting hole in the pickguard depending on the manufacturer.
Q: Can I use this for a 3-position setup?
A: While physically possible, this switch is designed specifically for 5 positions. For a traditional 3-position Telecaster setup, we recommend our specific 3-way switch model for better reliability.
Q: Does this come with the white plastic switch tip?
A: No, this package includes only the metal switch mechanism. Switch tips are sold separately to allow you to choose your preferred color and style.
