A Fresh Take on the Pokémon Formula

This game completely revitalizes the series for me. The open-zone exploration and the new catching mechanics make every encounter feel exciting. Even though it is the Japanese version, the multi-language support works perfectly on my US Switch.

Kids love it, easy to set up

Runs perfectly on international consoles

Good but has some performance hiccups

Great gameplay, but graphics are simple

The gameplay loop is incredibly addictive. Crafting Poké Balls and sneaking up on wild Pokémon is fun. However, the graphics can look a bit bare in some areas. Still, highly recommended for any fan of the franchise.
