Great for exam prep
I bought this for my daughter to practice her handwriting for upcoming exams. It stays flat on the desk and doesn't slide around. The only reason for 4 stars is that it took a day to flatten out after unrolling.

No more slipping papers

Silicone quality is excellent

Perfect for my fountain pen practice

Good but larger than expected
The product works well, but the A3 size is quite large for my small study desk. I wish there was an A4 option available. Otherwise, the quality is solid.
Q: Is the grid pattern printed or embedded in the silicone?
A: The grid lines are laser-etched into the surface, ensuring they will not fade or rub off even with daily use and cleaning.
Q: Does this mat have a strong rubber smell when first opened?
A: There may be a very faint new material scent upon unboxing, but it is odorless compared to traditional rubber mats and dissipates completely within a few hours of airing out.
Q: Can this mat be used with liquid ink fountain pens without bleeding through?
A: Yes, the silicone material is non-porous, so ink will not bleed through to your desk. However, we recommend using quality paper to prevent ink from pooling on the surface.
Q: Can I cut this mat to fit a smaller desk space?
A: While the silicone can technically be cut with scissors, we advise against it as it may compromise the structural integrity and the alignment of the grid lines. We suggest rolling the excess portion instead.
Q: How do I clean the mat if it gets dirty?
A: Simply rinse it under lukewarm water with a drop of mild dish soap. Pat dry with a towel or let it air dry before rolling it back up.
