Perfect for abrasive filaments

I switched to this assembly specifically to print carbon fiber nylon, and it handles it like a champ. The hardened steel nozzle shows no wear after 2kg of printing. Installation was straightforward following the guide.

Solved my clogging issues

My stock hotend kept clogging with recycled PETG. This TZ4.0 upgrade completely eliminated the problem. The integrated throat design seems to improve flow consistency.

Great upgrade but tight fit

The print quality improved significantly with less clogging. However, fitting the metal throat tube into the heater block required a bit more force than expected. Once installed, it works perfectly.

Solid performance

Good build quality and materials. It runs slightly hotter than the stock unit, so I adjusted my cooling fan profile slightly. Overall very satisfied with the purchase.

Q: What is the nozzle diameter included in this package?

A: This assembly comes pre-installed with a 0.4mm hardened steel nozzle. Other sizes are available separately if needed.

Q: Do I need to recalibrate my flow rate after installation?

A: It is highly recommended to perform a flow rate calibration and heatbed leveling after installing any new hotend assembly to ensure optimal print quality.

Q: Does this come with a new silicone sock?

A: No, this assembly does not include a silicone sock. You can reuse your existing one if it is in good condition or purchase a compatible high-temperature sock separately.

Q: Can this handle PLA at standard speeds?

A: Absolutely. While designed for abrasive materials, it performs excellently with standard PLA, PETG, and ABS at all standard printing speeds.
