Great durability, slightly longer heat up
The build quality is excellent and feels very robust. I noticed it takes about 10 seconds longer to reach target temperature compared to the stock brass nozzle, but the longevity makes it worth it.

Easy upgrade
As a beginner, I was worried about swapping the hotend, but the integrated design made it much easier than expected. Just unscrew the old one and screw this in. Works perfectly out of the box.

Solved my clogging issues
I was constantly clogging with glow-in-the-dark filament using the standard head. This integrated hardened steel solution completely eliminated the problem. Highly recommended for specialty materials.

Solid performance
Good product overall. The threading fits the Kobra 3 Max perfectly without any leaks. I deducted one star only because the included thermal paste tube was nearly empty, but I had my own supply.

Perfect for abrasive filaments
I switched to this hardened steel hotend specifically to print carbon fiber PLA, and it has been flawless. The installation on my Kobra 3 Max was straightforward, and the print quality remained sharp even after several spools.
Q: Do I need to recalibrate my E-steps after installing this?
A: Generally, no. Since the drive gear position remains the same, E-steps usually do not require adjustment. However, we always recommend running a flow calibration test to ensure optimal extrusion.
Q: Does this come with a new heater cartridge and thermistor?
A: Yes, since this is an integrated hotend assembly, it includes a new heater cartridge and thermistor pre-installed. You do not need to transfer parts from your old hotend.
Q: Can I use this with standard PLA filament?
A: Yes, absolutely. While it is optimized for abrasive materials like carbon fiber or wood-fill, it works perfectly fine with standard PLA, PETG, and ABS filaments as well.
Q: What is the maximum safe operating temperature?
A: The hardened steel nozzle and assembly are rated for continuous operation up to 300°C. We recommend staying within the filament manufacturer's suggested temperature ranges for best results.
Q: Is this compatible with the original Anycubic Kobra or just the Max version?
A: This specific model is designed exclusively for the Anycubic Kobra 3 Max due to differences in mounting geometry and connector types. Please check our store for versions compatible with other Kobra models.
