Decent but not genuine E3D
It works as advertised for a clone, but the threading was slightly tight on my hotend. I had to use a tap to clean it up. Once installed, printing performance is acceptable.

Perfect for carbon fiber
Finally found an affordable hardened steel option that fits my E3D V6 setup perfectly. I've printed over 2kg of carbon-filled PLA and there is no wear on the orifice yet.

Excellent clearance sale find

Good value but requires tuning
For the price, this is a solid nozzle. It took some trial and error to dial in the retraction settings compared to my standard brass nozzle, but once tuned, it works great with abrasive filaments.

Great flow rate for bulk printing
I switched to this CHT clone nozzle for my production prints and the difference is night and day. The copper plating seems to help with heat transfer, and I can push PLA much faster without losing quality.
Q: How does the copper plating affect durability?
A: The copper plating primarily improves thermal conductivity for faster melting and provides a non-stick surface to reduce residue buildup. It does not significantly increase mechanical hardness against abrasion; the hardened steel core provides that.
Q: What is the actual hardness rating of the steel?
A: While specific Rockwell ratings vary by batch, this hardened steel nozzle is rated to handle abrasive filaments like carbon fiber and wood-fill significantly longer than standard brass nozzles.
Q: Can I use this with TPU filament?
A: Yes, you can use TPU, but because this is a high-flow nozzle, you may need to adjust your retraction settings to prevent oozing. It is generally better suited for rigid materials like PLA, PETG, and ABS.
Q: Does the package include a gasket or seal?
A: No, the package includes only the nozzle and a cleaning needle. We recommend using a high-temperature silicone gasket or graphite gasket separately to ensure a proper seal in your hotend.
Q: Is this nozzle compatible with the Creality CR-10 stock hotend?
A: This nozzle is designed for E3D V6 style hotends. The CR-10 stock hotend typically uses an M5 thread, so this M6 nozzle will not fit without modifying the heater block.
