No more nozzle wear
My brass nozzles used to wear out every few spools of glow-in-the-dark filament. This hardened steel version shows zero signs of wear after months of use. Highly recommended for abrasive materials.

Essential upgrade for serious printing
If you plan on doing any engineering-grade materials, this is a must-have. The thermal stability is noticeable, and layer adhesion on PC filament has improved significantly since installing this unit.

Easy installation

Perfect for abrasive filaments
I switched to this hardened steel hotend specifically to print carbon fiber nylon, and it has been flawless. The upgrade to version 3.0 makes the detachment process incredibly smooth. No clogs after 2kg of material.

Solid performance
Very robust construction. I've been running it at 280°C for long prints without any degradation. The only minor issue is that the silicone sock fits a bit tighter than the original, but it stays in place well.

Great quality, slightly pricey
The build quality is excellent and fits my X1C perfectly. It handles high temperatures without any issues. I deducted one star only because the price is a bit steep compared to third-party options, but the reliability is worth it.

Q: Can I use this with regular PLA without changing any settings?
A: Absolutely. You can use this hotend with PLA, PETG, and other standard filaments without modifying your slicer profiles. It behaves identically to the stock hotend for non-abrasive materials.
Q: How difficult is it to swap the hotend if I want to go back to the original?
A: It is very easy. The tool-free quick-release mechanism allows you to detach the entire hotend assembly in seconds. You can swap between this upgrade and your original unit whenever needed.
Q: What is the maximum continuous operating temperature?
A: The upgraded heater cartridge and thermistor allow for safe continuous operation up to 300°C, making it suitable for Polycarbonate (PC) and high-temperature nylons.
Q: Does this come with a 0.6mm nozzle option?
A: This specific assembly comes standard with a 0.4mm hardened steel nozzle. However, the hotend is designed to accept interchangeable hardened nozzles in 0.2mm, 0.6mm, and 0.8mm sizes sold separately.
