Easy swap
Replaced my stock hotend in under 10 minutes. The quick-release mechanism works smoothly. Print quality on standard PLA is just as good as before, but now I have the option to print tougher materials.

Great upgrade, minor fit issue
The heating performance is excellent and temperatures stabilize quickly. I had to wiggle it slightly to get the connector to seat perfectly, but once installed, it has been working flawlessly for weeks.

Solid build quality
Feels very robust compared to the standard unit. The hardened steel nozzle is clearly high quality. Deducting one star only because the price is a bit steep, but you get what you pay for in durability.

Essential for engineering materials
If you plan on printing anything with glass or carbon fibers, this is a must-have. The ceramic heater brings the temp up very fast, and the silicone sleeve keeps the heat contained effectively.
Q: Do I need to recalibrate my printer after installation?
A: Yes, we strongly recommend running the flow calibration and vibration calibration (ADC) in the printer settings after swapping the hotend to ensure optimal print quality.
Q: How often should I replace the hardened steel nozzle?
A: Hardened steel nozzles last significantly longer than brass ones. Under normal use with abrasive filaments, they can last 6 to 12 months, depending on print volume.
Q: Can I use this to print at 350°C?
A: We recommend a maximum operating temperature of 300°C for this assembly to ensure the longevity of the silicone sleeve and electronic components.
Q: Does this come with a new thermistor?
A: Yes, the complete hotend assembly includes a pre-installed thermistor and heating element, so no separate purchases are needed.
Q: Is this compatible with the original Bambu Lab X1 Carbon?
A: No, this assembly is specifically designed for the A1 and A1 mini models. The X1 series uses a different hotend configuration.
