Great tone for the price
I installed this on my older jazz bass and the difference is night and day. The noise reduction works perfectly, and the Alnico magnets give it a warm, vintage punch without losing clarity.

No more hum!
Finally got rid of that annoying 60-cycle hum in my practice room. The active circuit boosts the signal nicely without sounding artificial. Highly recommend for gigging musicians.

Easy install for a beginner
I was nervous about swapping pickups myself, but the instructions were clear enough. The sound is much fuller than my stock pickups. Great value for money.

Solid upgrade
Very clear sound with excellent mid-range presence. Installation was straightforward with the 4-conductor wiring. Took off one star because the screws included were slightly too short for my body thickness.

Good but needs battery space
The sound quality is impressive, very balanced. However, remember this is an active pickup, so you need to route a battery compartment if your bass doesn't have one already. Just a heads up for beginners.

Handmade quality shows
You can tell these are handmade with care. The potting is done well to prevent microphonics. I've used them in three different custom builds now and clients love the growl they produce.
Q: Can I split the coil on this humbucker?
A: Yes, the 4-conductor wiring allows for coil splitting, series/parallel options, and phase reversal depending on how you wire it to your pots.
Q: Is the cover removable if I want to expose the coils?
A: The cover is soldered on to ensure proper shielding and noise reduction. We do not recommend removing it as it may void the warranty and increase noise.
Q: Will this fit a standard 4-string electric bass?
A: Absolutely. It is designed to fit standard routing for 4-string electric basses, whether mounted directly to the body or on a pickguard.
Q: Does this pickup require a 9V battery to function?
A: Yes, since this is an active pickup system, it requires a 9V battery to power the internal preamp.
