Great value for the price
For the cost, you really can't beat this. The EQ controls allow me to cut out some of the boxiness in my guitar's sound. I deducted one star because the battery compartment is a bit tight to open, but otherwise, it works great.

Clear sound and easy install
I installed this on my acoustic-electric conversion project. The sound is clear, and the presence control helps add just enough sparkle for live performances. The built-in tuner is a huge bonus for quick adjustments between songs.

Reliable for gigging
I've used this pickup for three months of weekly gigs, and it hasn't failed me yet. The battery life is decent, and the signal remains noise-free even in venues with bad wiring. Highly recommended for buskers.

Nice tone shaping capabilities
The four-band EQ gives me plenty of control over my sound. I particularly like the middle control, which is often missing on cheaper preamps. It fits perfectly in the rout of my standard acoustic guitar.

Good but instructions could be better
The pickup itself sounds good once installed, but the included instructions were very minimal. I had to watch a YouTube video to figure out the wiring properly. If you are handy, it's fine, but beginners might struggle.

A: The unit is designed to fit most standard acoustic and classical guitars. However, please measure your guitar's side thickness before purchasing to ensure the preamp body fits comfortably in the routed cavity.
Q: Is the tuner chromatic or just for guitar strings?
A: The built-in tuner is fully chromatic, meaning it can detect all notes across the spectrum, making it suitable for various instruments and alternate tunings.
Q: Does this package include the piezo sensor that goes under the saddle?
A: Yes, the EQ-7545R package includes the preamp unit, the piezo pickup strip for under the saddle, connecting wires, and the output jack.
Q: What type of batteries are required and are they included?
A: This model requires two LR44 button cell batteries. A fresh set is included in the box so you can test the unit immediately upon arrival.
