Exceeded expectations

Perfect upgrade for my dreadnought

Tuner is a game changer
Having the built-in 12-tone tuner saves so much space on my pedalboard. The pickup itself captures the natural warmth of my acoustic guitar without sounding too synthetic.
Q: Does the package include the connecting cable?
A: The package includes the pickup unit, a 9V battery, mounting hardware, and a short internal connector cable. However, a standard instrument cable to connect the guitar to your amplifier is sold separately.
Q: Is the tuner visible in low light conditions?
A: Yes, the tuner features a bright LED indicator that clearly shows whether you are sharp, flat, or in tune, making it easy to use on dimly lit stages.
Q: What happens if the battery dies during a performance?
A: If the battery runs out, the active EQ and tuner will stop functioning. However, most passive magnetic elements in this design will still produce a dry, unamplified signal, though volume will be significantly reduced. We always recommend carrying a spare 9V battery.
Q: Does this pickup require drilling into the guitar body?
A: No, the TEQ-5 is designed as a drop-in soundhole pickup. It mounts securely using adjustable brackets that grip the inside of the soundhole, requiring no permanent modification or drilling.
Q: Can I use this with nylon string classical guitars?
A: This pickup is optimized for steel-string acoustic-electric guitars. While it might physically fit some classical guitars, the magnetic response to nylon strings is minimal, so it is not recommended for classical instruments.
