Good quality, slightly tight fit
The metal quality is excellent and they look very professional. They were a bit tight going into my bobbin holes, so I had to sand them down slightly, but once in, they are secure and sound great.

Perfect fit for my custom build
These Alnico 5 poles fit perfectly into my hand-wound single coils. The diameter is spot on at 5mm, and the length gives me just enough room to adjust height without bottoming out. Great tone improvement too.

Classic Alnico 5 Sound
If you want that vintage yet punchy Alnico 5 character, these are the ones. They balanced out my humbucker nicely. Shipping was fast and packaging protected the items well.

Excellent magnetic pull
Replaced the ceramic rods in my bridge pickup with these. The difference in sustain and clarity is night and day. Highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade their stock pickups.

Good but needed polishing
The magnets work well, but one of the six had a small burr on the end that scratched the bobbin slightly. Easy to fix with some fine grit paper, but worth checking before installation.

A: Yes, all our Alnico 5 pole pieces arrive fully magnetized and ready for immediate installation into your pickup assembly.
Q: Is there a left-hand thread or specific orientation required?
A: No, these are smooth cylindrical pins with no threading. Orientation depends on your desired magnetic polarity (North up or South up) during assembly.
Q: Are these compatible with standard Fender-style bobbins?
A: Yes, the 5mm diameter is the industry standard for most Stratocaster and Telecaster style pickup bobbins.
Q: Can I cut these to a shorter length if needed?
A: While technically possible with a diamond saw, we do not recommend cutting them as it may demagnetize the material or create sharp edges. We suggest ordering the correct length for your specific application.
Q: What is the gauss rating of these pole pieces?
A: These Alnico 5 plugs typically measure between 3,000 and 3,500 Gauss depending on the specific batch, providing a strong but balanced magnetic field.
