Easy installation for beginners

Q: Can I use this with an effects pedalboard?

A: Yes, absolutely. The standard 1/4 inch output allows you to connect directly to any effects pedal, amplifier, or PA system just like an electric guitar.

Q: Does this require a battery to operate?

A: No, this is a passive piezo pickup system. It does not require a battery or external preamp to function; it draws its signal directly from the vibration of the strings transmitted through the saddle.

Q: Is the cable detachable?

A: The cable is permanently attached to the pickup element to ensure maximum signal integrity and reduce connection points that could cause noise. However, the end of the cable features a standard jack to plug into your gear.

Q: What if the saddle slot on my guitar is too narrow?

A: The pickup strip is ultra-thin (2mm) to fit most standard saddle slots. If your slot is exceptionally narrow, you may need to have a luthier widen it slightly, but for 95% of factory-made acoustics, it fits without modification.

Q: Will this fit a classical guitar with nylon strings?

A: This pickup is specifically designed and calibrated for steel-string acoustic guitars. While it might physically fit under the saddle of a classical guitar, the tone may not be optimized, and we recommend checking our nylon-specific models for best results.
