Excellent upgrade
Upgraded from a generic rubber piece to this Salmare model. The intonation is much more stable across all registers. Highly satisfied with the purchase.

Classic French sound
Even though this is marketed for beginners, the tonal quality is surprisingly rich. It lacks the harshness often found in plastic stock mouthpieces.

Good value for money
Solid construction and consistent facing. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the ligature included was a bit loose, but the mouthpiece itself is fantastic.

Teacher approved
My sax instructor recommended this specific model and size 6. It allows for easy low note response while still being forgiving on high notes.

Great quality, slightly stiff at first
The craftsmanship is excellent as expected from Selmer. It took a few days to break in, but now it plays very smoothly. I recommend starting with size 4 if you are brand new.

Perfect starter mouthpiece
I bought the size 5 for my student, and it has made a huge difference in their tone production. The resistance is just right for a beginner learning to control their embouchure.
Q: What is the return policy if the size doesn't fit?
A: We offer a 30-day return policy for unused items in original packaging. Please ensure the mouthpiece has not been played before returning.
Q: Which size should a complete beginner choose?
A: For most adult beginners, Size 5 is the standard recommendation. Younger students or those with smaller mouths might prefer Size 4.
Q: How do I clean the hard rubber material?
A: Use lukewarm water and mild soap. Avoid hot water or harsh chemicals as they can discolor or damage the hard rubber over time.
Q: Does this come with a cap and ligature?
A: Yes, the mouthpiece comes packaged with a protective plastic cap and a standard metal ligature.
Q: Is this compatible with tenor saxophones?
A: No, this model is designed specifically for Alto Saxophones. The bore size and facing are not suitable for Tenor Sax.
