Decent but not silent
They do mute the sound significantly, but don't expect total silence. Still audible through thin walls, but much better than bare metal.

Perfect for apartment living
These pads are a lifesaver. I can practice late at night without waking up my neighbors. The feel is surprisingly close to real cymbals.

A: They produce a low 'thud' sound rather than a metallic ring. While much quieter than cymbals, they are not completely silent.
Q: Will these fit on a 22-inch ride cymbal?
A: This set includes a 20-inch pad, so it will not fully cover a 22-inch cymbal. It is designed specifically for 18-inch crash and 20-inch ride cymbals.
Q: Is the hi-hat pad one piece or two?
A: The set includes two separate pieces for the hi-hat, allowing you to mount them on the top and bottom just like real cymbals.
