Clear and concise
The layout of the book is fantastic. Short chapters with practical exercises at the end of each section helped me practice what I learned immediately. Best $20 I spent on my camera gear.

Good but a bit basic for intermediate users
If you know absolutely nothing, this is perfect. However, if you already understand the exposure triangle, you might find the first half too slow. Still, good reference material.

Perfect gift for my teenager
Bought this for my daughter who got her first DSLR. She loves how easy it is to read and has already started taking much better photos after just one weekend with this book.

No jargon overload
As an older adult trying to learn a new hobby, I appreciated that the author didn't assume prior knowledge. The diagrams are large and helpful. A truly introductory guide done right.

Great fundamentals, wish it had more on editing
The section on composition and lighting is excellent. The explanations are very clear. I only wished there was a chapter dedicated to basic photo editing software, but overall a solid purchase.

Finally, a book that makes sense!
I have tried reading other photography books but they were too technical. This guide breaks down aperture, shutter speed, and ISO in plain language. Highly recommended for anyone just starting out.
