Solid construction

Very rigid and well-made. The edges are smooth and safe to handle. My only minor complaint is that the carrying case could be a bit more protective, but the plate itself is excellent.

Q: How should I clean the surface if it gets dusty?

A: Please use the included microfiber cleaning cloth. For stubborn marks, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a standard acrylic cleaner. Do not use abrasive materials or solvents.

Q: What are the exact dimensions of the individual squares on the grid?

A: For the D-Type size (60cm x 40cm), each square in the checkerboard pattern measures exactly 5cm x 5cm to ensure optimal detection range for most cinema and broadcast lenses.

Q: Is this plate compatible with older versions of Aximmetry?

A: Yes, this D-Type checkerboard is compatible with all recent and legacy versions of Aximmetry that support standard checkerboard calibration patterns.

Q: Can this be used outdoors for location shoots?

A: While the acrylic is durable, it is primarily designed for controlled indoor studio lighting. Direct sunlight may cause glare that interferes with calibration, so we recommend using it in shaded areas if shooting outdoors.
