Saved my weekend shoot

Effective but requires care
Works exactly as described for full-frame sensors. You have to be very gentle and ensure the tip doesn't touch the camera body edges, or it might pick up oil. Great product overall.

Professional grade quality
As a professional photographer, I keep one of these in every camera bag. It is imported and feels very high quality. The gel stays tacky for a long time if you keep the cap on tight.

Good value for money
Does the job well for routine maintenance. I used it on my Canon EOS R5 and it removed fine dust easily. Just remember not to press too hard.

Better than air blowers
Air blowers couldn't remove some sticky pollen grains on my sensor. The Matin gel pen grabbed them on the first try. The rectangular tip covers a good surface area for efficient cleaning.
Q: Does the pen come with a protective case?
A: It comes with a secure snap-on cap to protect the gel tip from dust when not in use, but it does not include a separate carrying case.
Q: Is there any liquid involved in the cleaning process?
A: No, this is a dry cleaning method. The pen uses a specialized adhesive gel to lift dust physically, so no liquids or solvents are required.
Q: Can this be used on APS-C sensors as well?
A: While designed for full-frame sensors, it can be used on APS-C sensors with extra caution due to the larger tip size. Ensure you only touch the sensor glass.
Q: How do I clean the gel tip if it gets dirty?
A: The gel tip is self-cleaning to an extent; dust sticks to it and stays there. If it becomes too saturated, you can gently dab it on the included sticky paper or replace the pen when tackiness is lost.
Q: Will this remove oil smudges from the sensor?
A: This tool is primarily designed for dry dust and particulate matter. For oil smudges, a wet sensor swab cleaning method is usually recommended.
