Better than microfiber cloths
I used to rely solely on cloths, but this pen gets into the edges much better. The built-in brush is perfect for knocking off dust before applying the carbon tip.

Works great, but cap can be loose
The cleaning performance is excellent and removes fingerprints easily. My only minor complaint is that the cap feels slightly loose after a few months of heavy use.

Good but runs out eventually
It works very well initially, but like all these pens, the carbon tip does lose effectiveness over time. Still, it lasts longer than I expected for the price.

Essential for every photographer
This pen is a lifesaver when I'm out in the field. The large round tip covers more surface area on my DSLR lenses, making cleaning quick and effective without leaving streaks.

Perfect for binoculars too
While marketed for cameras, I bought this primarily for my birdwatching binoculars. The large tip is ideal for the bigger objective lenses. Highly recommended.
Q: How do I know when the tip needs replacing?
A: The tip does not need replacing; however, its effectiveness may diminish after extensive use. If it no longer removes smudges cleanly, it may be time to purchase a new pen.
Q: Is the brush on the cap soft enough for sensitive glass?
A: Absolutely. The retractable cap features a soft natural hair brush designed specifically to remove loose dust without scratching delicate lens elements.
Q: Can this be used on coated lens surfaces safely?
A: Yes, the LensPen uses a dry carbon compound that is safe for all multi-coated optical surfaces found on DSLR lenses and binoculars.
Q: Does this contain any liquid cleaning solution?
A: No, the LensPen NLP-1-W is a completely dry cleaning system. It relies on a patented carbon compound embedded in the tip, so there are no liquids to spill or freeze.
Q: What is the difference between the gold ring and standard models?
A: The Gold Ring model features a larger round tip compared to the standard micro-tip, making it better suited for larger DSLR lenses and binocular objectives.
