Great performance, tricky install
The hotend works flawlessly once installed. Temperature stability is excellent on my P1P. However, aligning the thermistor connector was a bit fiddly compared to the stock unit. Overall, a solid upgrade if you take your time during installation.

Perfect upgrade for abrasive filaments
I switched to this hardened steel nozzle assembly specifically for printing carbon fiber reinforced PLA. The print quality is exceptional, and the integrated throat eliminates any gaps where filament could get stuck. Highly recommended for engineering materials.

No more clogs
I was experiencing frequent clogs with the standard brass nozzle when printing glow-in-the-dark filament. This hardened steel assembly solved the issue completely. The flow is consistent, and layer adhesion has improved noticeably.

Essential for X1C owners
If you plan on doing any serious printing beyond basic PLA, get this. The metal integrated throat handles heat creep much better than the stock setup. My prints at 280°C are now perfectly stable.

Smooth sailing
Installed this on my Bambu Lab X1 in under 10 minutes. The calibration ran smoothly, and the first test print came out perfect. The build quality feels very robust and premium.

Good but pricey
The quality is undeniable, and it prints very well. However, the price point is quite high compared to buying just a nozzle and throat separately. You are paying for the convenience of the pre-assembled unit.
Q: How often should I replace the nozzle on this assembly?
A: With hardened steel nozzles, lifespan is significantly longer than brass. Depending on filament abrasiveness, it can last 6 to 12 months. Replace it only if you notice persistent under-extrusion or damaged threads.
Q: What is the maximum safe temperature for continuous printing?
A: While the components can withstand up to 300°C, we recommend continuous printing at temperatures below 280°C to ensure the longevity of the heater cartridge and thermistor.
Q: Is this compatible with the Bambu Lab A1 mini?
A: No, this TZ4.0 assembly is designed specifically for the X1, X1C, P1P, and P1S series. The A1 mini uses a different hotend form factor.
Q: Can I use this with regular PLA without changing settings?
A: Yes, you can use regular PLA. However, because hardened steel conducts heat slightly differently than brass, you may need to increase the printing temperature by 5-10°C for optimal flow.
Q: Does this come with a silicone sock?
A: This package includes the hotend assembly and nozzle wrench only. The silicone sock is sold separately or can be reused from your original hotend if it fits.
