Good value but knobs are loose
The circuit board and plate quality are excellent for the price. However, the included knobs felt a bit loose on the shafts. I ended up using my old ones. Otherwise, great product.

Solid replacement part
Bought this to replace a cracked plate on my project bass. Fits standard routing perfectly. The volume taper is nice and linear. Would recommend for repairs.

Silenced the noise
My bass had a terrible hum before. Swapping in this pre-wired plate solved the grounding issue immediately. Very happy with the quiet operation now.

Decent but not premium
It works as described. The metal plate is a bit thinner than Fender OEM parts, but it gets the job done if you are on a budget. Sound is acceptable.

Easy DIY project
As someone new to guitar repair, this was a lifesaver. Everything was already soldered correctly. I just had to mount it and connect the pickup wires. Sounds fantastic.

Perfect upgrade for my old bass
This control plate fit perfectly into my JB style bass body. The pots feel smooth and the tone is much clearer than my old scratchy components. Installation took about 20 minutes.
Q: Are the potentiometers shielded to reduce hum?
A: The potentiometers are standard audio taper pots. While the plate provides a ground connection, we recommend ensuring your pickup cavity is properly shielded with copper tape for maximum noise reduction.
Q: Does it come with the ground wire for the bridge?
A: Yes, the package includes a ground wire that should be connected to your bridge assembly to complete the grounding circuit.
Q: Will this fit a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass?
A: Yes, this control plate is designed to fit standard JB style bodies, including most Squier Vintage Modified models without modification.
Q: Can I use this with active pickups?
A: This circuit is designed for passive pickups. If you have active pickups requiring a battery, this plate does not include a battery compartment or the necessary active preamp circuitry.
