Great quality, slightly heavy

Beautiful design

These jars look very professional and vintage. I use them for storing homemade jams. The only reason for 4 stars is that the gasket needs to be seated perfectly to seal.

A: The mouth of the jar has an inner diameter of approximately 3.5 inches, making it wide enough to easily fit your hand inside for cleaning or packing large vegetables.

Q: Can I put these in the microwave?

A: No, you should not put these jars in the microwave. While the glass itself can handle heat, the metal clasp and hinge can cause arcing and damage the microwave. Please transfer contents to a microwave-safe dish before heating.

Q: Can these jars be used for hot water bath canning?

A: While the glass is heat resistant, these specific clamp-top jars are designed primarily for fermentation, dry storage, and refrigerator pickling. For long-term shelf-stable canning, we recommend using traditional screw-band mason jars specifically rated for pressure or water bath canning.

Q: Is the glass lead-free?
