Good value compact machine
Does exactly what it says. It's compact, looks sleek in black, and keeps up with our family's iced coffee habit. Just remember to keep adding water as it doesn't have a direct line connection.

Perfect for my college dorm!

Best purchase for summer
We use this daily on the patio. It handles the outdoor heat well and consistently produces clear, hard ice. The automatic shut-off when the basket is full is a nice safety feature.

Quiet and efficient
I was worried about noise since my office is small, but this unit is whisper quiet. The LED display is easy to read, and I love that I can choose between two cube sizes depending on my drink.

Great for camping trips
Took this on our weekend camping trip in the RV. It worked flawlessly off the inverter. The only reason for 4 stars is that the larger cubes melt a bit quickly in hot weather, but overall very satisfied.

Exceeded expectations
For the price point, the build quality is impressive. It produced a full basket of ice in under an hour after setup. Cleaning was also straightforward thanks to the drain plug at the bottom.

A: While the unit is portable and great for outdoor use like patios or camping, we recommend placing it in a shaded area. Direct sunlight can affect the cooling efficiency and ice melting rate.
Q: Does this ice maker require a permanent water line installation?
A: No, the HICON Home Ice Maker features a built-in 2.2L water tank, allowing you to simply fill it manually and start making ice immediately without any plumbing.
Q: What happens when the water tank runs empty?
A: The machine is equipped with a smart sensor that will automatically pause operation and flash an indicator light on the LED panel to alert you that water needs to be refilled.
Q: Is the ice hollow or solid?
A: This model produces bullet-shaped ice which has a small hollow core. This type of ice cools drinks rapidly and is perfect for soft drinks, cocktails, and iced coffee.
Q: How long does it take to produce the first batch of ice?
A: Under normal operating conditions, the first batch of ice is ready in approximately 6 to 8 minutes, with subsequent batches following every 10 to 13 minutes.
