Perfect for my carving project

Authentic natural stone

Excellent raw material
As a jewelry maker, finding good quality rough jadeite is hard. These chips have great potential. The green tone is subtle and elegant. Shipping was fast and the packaging protected the stones well.

Good variety, mostly clear
Received a nice mix of sizes. Most pieces are semi-clear as described, though a few had more cloudiness than I expected. Still, for the price, it's a great source of raw jadeite for practice carving.

Nice but small pieces
The quality is undeniable, but many of the chips are quite small. If you are looking for large slabs for big pendants, this might not be enough. However, for rings and small beads, it is perfect.
Q: Is there a certificate of authenticity included?
A: A general product description is provided, but individual gemological certificates for rough chip bags are not included due to the nature of the bulk material. We guarantee natural Type A Jadeite.
Q: What is the approximate size range of the chips in the bag?
A: The chips vary randomly as they are rough material, but most range between 5mm and 20mm in diameter. Some larger fragments may be included.
Q: Are these stones dyed or chemically treated in any way?
A: No, these are 100% natural Type A Jadeite with no dye, wax, or polymer impregnation. They are in their raw, unprocessed state.
Q: How hard is this material to carve for a beginner?
A: Jadeite is quite hard (6.5-7 Mohs). While beginners can work with it, we recommend using diamond-tipped tools and having some prior experience with lapidary work for best results.
Q: Can I use this material to make a full bracelet directly?
A: These are rough chips, so they require cutting, shaping, drilling, and polishing before they can be strung into a bracelet. They are intended for customization and carving.
