Beautiful but requires care
The wood is genuine and looks ancient. Just remember to dry it immediately after spills to maintain its luster. A great collectible piece for any tea lover.

A true conversation starter
Guests always ask about this stand. The history behind Taihang Thuja wood makes it feel special. It serves well as both a functional coaster and an art ornament.

Perfect size for my gaiwan
I was looking for a sturdy base for my porcelain cups, and this fits perfectly. The aged wood has a wonderful subtle scent that doesn't overpower the tea aroma.

Lovely natural variation
My piece had a small knot which I actually love as it proves the authenticity of the old material. The color deepens nicely over time with use.

Solid and heavy
Unlike cheaper wooden coasters, this one has significant weight and stability. It won't slide around on the table. Highly recommended for serious tea enthusiasts.
Q: Is this wood treated with any chemicals or varnishes?
A: No, our Taihang Thuja products are finished only with natural plant-based oils to preserve the wood's integrity and safety for food contact.
Q: Does the wood retain a strong cedar smell?
A: The aroma is very subtle and earthy, typical of aged Thuja. It is not overpowering and will not interfere with the scent of your tea.
Q: How should I clean this if tea stains appear?
A: Simply wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. For stubborn spots, a tiny amount of lemon oil can restore the shine.
Q: Can this be used outdoors on a patio table?
A: While the wood is durable, we recommend indoor use or covered areas only, as prolonged exposure to direct rain or harsh sunlight may affect the finish.
Q: What are the approximate dimensions of the standard coaster?
A: The standard teapot coaster measures approximately 12cm x 12cm x 1.5cm, though slight variations occur due to the hand-carved nature of each piece.
