Exquisite craftsmanship and beautiful grain
The detail on this Pixiu is incredible. You can tell it was carved by hand. The cypress wood has a wonderful subtle scent and the grain patterns are unique. It feels great in the hand while drinking tea.

Perfect office desk companion
I bought this for my office desk as a conversation piece. Everyone who visits asks about it. The aged wood gives it a very distinguished look. Packaging was secure and fast.

Beautiful but smaller than expected
The quality is undeniable, and the carving is sharp and detailed. However, it is slightly smaller than I imagined from the photos. Still, it fits perfectly on my tea tray.

Solid weight and smooth finish
The finish is incredibly smooth, perfect for handling. It has a nice weight to it without being too heavy. Took off one star only because the box was slightly dented upon arrival, though the item was fine.

Great collectible piece
As a collector of wooden ornaments, this Taihang cypress piece stands out. The aging process of the wood gives it a deep color that looks like it has been owned for years. Very satisfied.
Q: Does the Pixiu face a specific direction for best results?
A: In traditional culture, Pixiu is often facing outward to attract wealth from outside. However, as a decorative art piece, you may place it in any orientation that pleases your aesthetic preference.
Q: Is each piece identical since they are hand-carved?
A: No, because each piece is hand-carved from natural wood, there will be slight variations in size, weight, and grain pattern. This uniqueness is part of the charm of handmade collectibles.
Q: How should I clean this if it gets dusty?
A: Simply use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently wipe away dust. Avoid using water, chemicals, or polishes, as these can damage the natural finish of the aged cypress.
Q: Can this be used as a paperweight?
A: Yes, weighing approximately 65 grams, it is substantial enough to serve as a decorative paperweight for light papers on a desk or tea table.
Q: Is this made from real aged cypress wood or is it stained?
A: This ornament is crafted from genuine aged Taihang Cliff Cypress Wood. The color and grain are natural results of the wood's age and growth environment, not artificial staining.
