Excellent starter piece
I am new to Wenwan collecting, and this mini gourd is an ideal starting point. It's durable, lightweight, and the seller packaged it very securely. Highly recommended for beginners.

Beautiful natural variation
As expected with natural products, no two are alike. Mine has a slight asymmetry which adds to its charm. It's taking on a nice golden hue after just two weeks of daily handling.

Good quality, fast shipping
The gourd arrived in perfect condition inside the cloth pouch. The stem is intact and sturdy. Only giving 4 stars because I wish it came with a small brush for cleaning crevices.

Perfect size for pocket carrying
This little gourd is exactly what I was looking for. The 'Grass Gold' variety has a very smooth skin texture already, and it fits perfectly in my palm. Great for stress relief while working at my desk.

Lovely aesthetic
It looks even better in person than in the photos. The color gradient from the top to the bottom is subtle and elegant. It has become my favorite fidget item.

Great tactile feel
The texture is fascinating. It starts slightly matte but becomes incredibly glossy after rubbing it between your fingers for a few days. A very satisfying sensory experience.
Q: Is this suitable for children?
A: While non-toxic, this item contains small parts (the stem) and is intended for collectors and adults. We recommend supervision if given to older children interested in handicrafts.
Q: Can I use oil to speed up the polishing process?
A: We recommend dry hand polishing only. Applying oils or waxes can clog the pores of the gourd and lead to uneven coloring or spotting over time.
Q: Is the stem attached or removed?
A: The natural stem is left attached and trimmed neatly. It is an integral part of the gourd's structure and adds to the traditional aesthetic.
Q: What is the difference between 'Grass Gold' and other varieties?
A: The 'Grass Gold' variety is known for its denser skin and finer texture, which allows it to develop a glass-like luster more quickly than standard varieties when polished by hand.
Q: How long does it typically take for the color to change?
A: With daily handling, you should notice a subtle darkening and increased gloss within 2-3 weeks. A deep amber patina usually develops over several months of consistent polishing.
