Beautiful but smaller than expected
The wood grain is gorgeous and the carving is smooth. I gave it 4 stars only because it looked slightly larger in the photos, but it still makes a lovely accent on my bookshelf.

High quality solid wood
You can tell this is real solid wood, not a composite. The weight feels right, and the finish is smooth without any rough edges. Highly recommend for collectors of wooden crafts.

Calming presence on my desk
I work from home and having this natural wood piece on my desk adds a nice touch of nature. The aroma is very subtle but noticeable when you lean in. Great stress reliever just to hold.

Nice addition to home decor
Very pleased with the purchase. The carp design is dynamic and looks great from all angles. The only minor issue is that the wood color varies slightly from the picture, which is expected with natural materials.

Exquisite craftsmanship and beautiful scent
This carving is absolutely stunning. The detail on the carp scales is incredible, and the natural wood smell fills my office gently. It feels very high quality and substantial in the hand.
Q: What does the 'Yearly Surplus' carp symbolize?
A: In traditional culture, the carp (Yu) sounds like the word for surplus or abundance. It symbolizes having more than enough wealth and prosperity year after year, making it a popular lucky charm.
Q: Does this carving come with a stand or base?
A: The carving is designed to sit flat on its own due to its solid base shape. It does not come with a separate stand, but it displays beautifully on shelves, desks, or tables.
Q: Can this be kept outdoors on a patio?
A: We recommend keeping this item indoors. Direct sunlight, rain, or extreme humidity changes can cause the natural wood to crack or fade over time. It is best suited for indoor desktop or shelf display.
Q: How do I clean the carving if it gets dusty?
A: Simply use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently wipe away dust. Avoid using water, cleaning sprays, or abrasive materials as they may damage the natural wood finish.
Q: Is the wood treated with any chemicals or strong perfumes?
A: No, we use only natural wood oil for finishing. There are no synthetic chemicals, varnishes, or added perfumes. The scent you experience is purely from the natural Thuja wood.
