A work of art from nature
Beyond just a fidget item, these are beautiful natural sculptures. The complexity of the shell surface is mesmerizing. They fit comfortably in a large palm, and the balance between the two nuts in the pair is excellent.

Authentic Yanqing origin
I have collected walnuts for over a decade, and these definitely carry the characteristics of authentic Yanqing old trees. The 'open back' feature is distinct, and the overall symmetry is superb. Worth every penny.

Great quality, slightly heavy for beginners
These are stunning walnuts with incredible detail in the eyes and legs. The only reason for 4 stars is that they are a bit heavier than I am used to for daily rolling, but for display and occasional play, they are flawless.

Satisfying sound and feel
The sound they make when clicked together is crisp and deep. The defined legs give a unique tactile experience compared to smoother varieties. Packaging was secure, and the nuts arrived in pristine condition.

Perfect match and beautiful skin
Finding a pair this well-matched in size and shape is rare. The golden hue is natural and promising for long-term play. The texture is rough enough to provide great stimulation but smooth enough not to snag. Highly recommended.

Exquisite specimen for serious collectors
The definition on the 'toad legs' is incredibly sharp. These are genuine first-generation old tree nuts with a perfect flush tip. The weight feels substantial in the hand, and the open back structure is exactly as described. A true gem for any collection.
Q: What is the exact difference between 'Flush Tip' and other tip styles?
A: A 'Flush Tip' means the top of the shell is relatively flat and level with the shoulders of the walnut, rather than having a prominent, pointed spike. This is a highly desirable trait for the Golden Toad Lion's Head variety as it improves comfort during hand rolling.
Q: Is the weight listed for a single walnut or the pair?
A: The weight listed in the attributes (48.5 grams) is the total combined weight of the pair. Individual weights may vary slightly to ensure the best possible match in size and density.
Q: Do you provide a certificate of authenticity for first-generation old trees?
A: Yes, each pair of Collection Grade walnuts comes with a digital certificate verifying the origin, variety, and generation details based on our expert appraisal.
Q: How should I store these if I am not playing with them daily?
A: Store them in a breathable cloth bag or a wooden box away from direct sunlight, extreme heat, or high humidity. Avoid sealing them in plastic for long periods as this can lead to mold or cracking.
Q: Are these walnuts cleaned or waxed before shipping?
A: No, these are sold in their original, natural state. We do not clean, brush, or apply any wax to preserve the authentic texture and allow the collector to develop the patina naturally over time.
