Smaller than expected
The carving is nice, but I thought it would be a bit larger based on the description. Still a decent piece for the price, just check the dimensions carefully.

Great stress reliever
I use this as a playable accessory while working. The size fits perfectly in the palm, and the texture becomes smoother and more lustrous the more you hold it.

Beautiful gift item
Bought this as a Wenwan gift for my father. He loves the symbolism of the gourd. The only reason for 4 stars is that the box was slightly dented on arrival, but the item itself is perfect.

Exquisite craftsmanship
The detail on the carved children is incredible. The cypress wood has a wonderful natural scent and feels smooth to the touch after just a few days of handling.

Lovely traditional art
This is a stunning example of traditional carving. The multi-child motif is executed with great skill. Highly recommend for collectors of wooden ornaments.

Authentic wood quality
You can tell this is real cliff cypress. The grain patterns are unique and beautiful. It looks even better in person than in the photos.
Q: How do I care for the wood to prevent cracking?
A: To maintain the wood, avoid exposing it to extreme heat, direct sunlight, or water. Occasionally wiping it with a dry, soft cloth is sufficient. Natural oils from your hands during handling will also help polish it.
Q: Is this item made from solid wood or composite material?
A: This piece is crafted from 100% solid Cliff Cypress Wood, not composite or pressed wood.
Q: Does the gourd rattle or make sound when shaken?
A: No, this is a solid carved ornament and handle piece. It does not contain seeds or loose parts, so it does not make any sound when shaken.
Q: Can this be hung as a decoration?
A: Yes, many customers use it as a hanging ornament. While it is primarily designed as a hand-held Wenwan piece, you can easily attach a decorative cord to display it.
Q: Is the finish glossy or matte?
A: The finish is natural and semi-matte. It is not coated with heavy lacquer, allowing the natural texture and scent of the cypress wood to shine through. It will develop a natural patina over time.
