Excellent patina development
I have been rubbing this piece for three weeks now, and the color is already deepening beautifully. The maintenance oil makes the process very easy. Highly recommended.

Good quality, needs patience
The craftsmanship is solid. It takes some time to get the surface smooth through handling, but that is part of the fun. Make sure to follow the oiling instructions carefully.

Great starter piece for collectors
I am new to hand pieces, and this was a perfect introduction. The shape is ergonomic. Just remember to oil it frequently during the first month to avoid any small cracks.

Stress relief and art combined
Using this as a fidget object while working has helped my focus. The golden toad design is charming, and the weight of the bamboo root feels substantial and grounding.

Perfect gift for art lovers
Bought this for my father who loves traditional carvings. He was delighted with the detail on the toad's eyes and legs. The packaging was secure, and the oil bottle was full.

Beautiful texture and smooth feel
The carving details on the toad are incredible. It fits perfectly in my palm, and the bamboo root has a wonderful natural grain. The included oil smells earthy and works great.
Q: What does the Golden Toad symbolize?
A: In traditional folklore, the Golden Toad is a symbol of prosperity, wealth, and good luck. It is often kept or held to invite positive energy and financial abundance.
Q: Is this item made from real bamboo root?
A: Yes, every piece is carved from genuine, aged bamboo root. Due to the natural material, grain patterns and slight variations in shape will occur, making each piece unique.
Q: How often should I apply the maintenance oil?
A: For the first month, we recommend applying a thin layer of oil once a week or whenever the surface feels dry. After the patina develops, once a month is usually sufficient.
Q: What should I do if I notice a small crack?
A: Small surface cracks can happen with natural wood if it gets too dry. Simply apply a generous amount of the maintenance oil to the area and let it soak in; this often minimizes the appearance of the crack.
Q: Can I use other oils if I run out of the included one?
A: While the included oil is formulated specifically for this bamboo, you can use natural walnut oil or tung oil as alternatives. Avoid synthetic mineral oils as they may not penetrate as well.
