Great quality, needs frequent tuning

Lovely small harp

Very portable and looks exactly like the pictures. The only reason for 4 stars is that the strings were a bit stiff at first, but they loosened up after a few days of playing.

A: The instrument features a protective natural varnish finish that helps seal the wood. However, like all wooden instruments, we recommend using a humidifier if you live in an extremely dry environment to maintain optimal condition.

A: This package includes a soft carrying case, a tuning key, and an extra set of strings. A standing rack is not included, but the lyre can be played while resting on your lap or held in one hand.

Q: Can this be tuned to different scales?

A: Absolutely. While it is often tuned to a diatonic scale typical for Greek music, you can tune each of the 10 pegs individually to create various scales or modes according to your preference.

Q: What type of strings are used and are replacements easy to find?

A: The lyre comes strung with high-quality nylon strings. Replacement strings are standard and widely available at most music stores or online; we also sell compatible sets directly.
