Good mallet included
The gong itself is fantastic. The included wooden mallet is decent quality, though I eventually upgraded to a felt-covered one for softer rolls. Highly recommend the product.

Authentic traditional instrument
As a musician specializing in traditional drama, I can confirm this is real pure copper. The high pitch version cuts through the mix perfectly without being shrill.

Beautiful resonance
I use this for meditation and sound healing. The low pitch option has a deep, grounding resonance that fills the room. Shipping was fast and packaging was secure.

Great sound, minor cosmetic flaw
The tone is beautiful and sustains nicely. There was a tiny scratch on the rim upon arrival, but it doesn't affect the sound at all. Good value for the price.

Perfect for our Lion Dance troupe
The pitch on the 22cm medium gong is exactly what we needed for our performances. The copper quality feels authentic and the sound carries well outdoors.

Excellent classroom tool
Bought the 20cm size for my music class. It's durable enough for students to handle and produces a clear tone that helps teach rhythm and dynamics.
Q: What is the difference between the High, Medium, and Low pitch versions?
A: The difference lies in the tuning frequency. High pitch offers a brighter, sharper sound ideal for cutting through loud ensembles. Medium is balanced for general accompaniment, while Low pitch provides a deeper, more resonant boom suitable for dramatic effects.
Q: Do you offer a case for transport?
A: We do not currently sell a dedicated hard case for this specific model, but the gong fits standard 20-22cm percussion bags available at most music stores.
Q: Does this come with a stand or just the hanging cord?
A: This product includes a hanging cord and a wooden mallet. A floor stand is not included and must be purchased separately if needed.
Q: Can this be used outdoors in rainy conditions?
A: While made of pure copper which is durable, we recommend keeping the gong dry. Prolonged exposure to rain can cause patina or water spots that may alter the aesthetic and potentially dampen the sound over time.
Q: Is the 22cm gong too heavy for a child to hold during a performance?
A: The 22cm gong weighs approximately 1 kg. While manageable for older children, we recommend the 20cm version for younger performers to ensure ease of handling during long routines.
