The tone of this gong is incredibly pure. It sustains for a long time and the high pitch is perfect for my meditation sessions. The craftsmanship is evident in every detail.

Exquisite Resonance
The way the sound waves travel from this small instrument is amazing. You can really feel the vibration. It shifts beautifully between high and mid tones depending on where you strike it.

Great for beginners
I am new to percussion instruments and this was easy to handle. The mallet included is decent quality. Only wish it came with a stand, but hanging it works fine.

Lovely addition to my yoga studio
My clients love the sound at the end of our sessions. It is very calming. The only reason for 4 stars is that the cord provided is a bit short for my setup.

Solid construction
Heavy for its size, which tells me it's real copper. No flaws in the metal, and the polish is shiny and attractive. Highly recommend for anyone interested in Asian percussion.
Q: Can I change the pitch easily while playing?
A: Yes, by striking different areas of the gong face (center vs. edge) and adjusting the angle at which you hold it, you can produce high, mid, and low tonal variations.
Q: How do I clean the copper if it starts to tarnish?
A: We recommend using a specialized copper polishing cloth for maintenance. Avoid water or chemical cleaners as they may alter the patina or affect the sound quality.
Q: What is the exact diameter of the vibrating surface?
A: The total diameter is 6 inches, with approximately 5 inches being the primary vibrating surface, excluding the outer rim used for gripping or mounting.
Q: Does this come with a stand to place it on a table?
A: No, this set includes a wooden mallet and a hanging cord. It is designed to be held by hand or suspended from a frame, but a tabletop stand is sold separately.
Q: Is the mallet made of wood or rubber?
A: The included mallet features a hard wooden head wrapped in soft felt, designed to produce a warm tone without damaging the copper surface.
