Solid construction

Very heavy and well-made. The low pitch gong provides a fantastic base for our ensemble. Shipping took a little longer than expected, but the product itself is worth the wait.

Excellent value

Great sound, minor finish imperfection

The acoustic quality is outstanding for the price. The high pitch cuts through the mix perfectly. There was a tiny scratch on the rim upon arrival, but it does not affect the sound at all.

Authentic bronze tone

As a percussion instructor, I am very picky about metal quality. These gongs have that authentic, warm bronze decay that synthetic materials just cannot replicate. Highly recommended for students and pros alike.

Q: Can I tune these gongs after purchase?

A: These gongs are pre-tuned at the factory to specific resonant frequencies. While minor adjustments are possible by a professional instrument technician, we do not recommend attempting to tune them yourself as it may void the warranty.

Q: How long is the warranty on the bronze material?

A: We offer a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects in the bronze material and construction. Normal wear and tear from regular performance use is not covered.

Q: What is the diameter of the standard mid-pitch gong?

A: The standard mid-pitch hand gong has a diameter of approximately 8 inches (20 cm), which is the traditional size for Sanju Ban handheld instruments.

Q: Do these gongs come with a case for storage?

A: These gongs are shipped with protective padding, but a dedicated hard carrying case is sold separately. We recommend purchasing one if you travel frequently for performances.

Q: Is the mallet included suitable for the low-pitch gong?

A: Yes, the included wooden mallet is designed to work effectively across all three pitch variations. However, some performers prefer a softer felt mallet for the low-pitch gong to achieve a warmer tone.
