Beautiful craftsmanship
I purchased the Double Cranes model. The inlay work is stunning and the wood grain is gorgeous. It sounds as good as it looks. Delivery was careful and secure.

Great instrument, needs setup
The guzheng itself is fantastic, but like most instruments in this range, it required some minor bridge adjustments to get the intonation perfect for my specific playing style. Once set up, it sings.

Upgrade from student model
Moving from a beginner model to the 694KK was a huge difference. The dynamic range allows for much more expressive playing. The 'Banana Window' design is also visually striking.

Lovely sound, heavy case
The instrument sounds amazing and the peony design is elegant. My only minor complaint is that the hard case is quite heavy to carry around for long distances, but it offers great protection.

Professional quality
I use this for weekly performances. The sustain is long and the volume projects well even in larger venues. Dunhuang remains the gold standard for a reason.

Perfect for my conservatory audition
The tone quality of the 694L is exceptional. The highs are crisp without being shrill, and the bass has a wonderful resonance that filled the audition hall. Highly recommended for serious students.
Q: How often should I change the strings on this model?
A: For professional performance use, we recommend changing strings every 6 to 12 months depending on play frequency. For practice purposes, they can last longer if maintained well.
Q: Is this suitable for a child who is taking grade 5 exams?
A: Yes, the 694 series is widely used for graded exams ranging from intermediate to advanced levels. It provides the tonal clarity required for examination pieces.
Q: What is the difference between the 694L and the 694DQ models?
A: The primary difference lies in the aesthetic inlay design on the tail end and headstock. Acoustically, they share the same professional grade construction and tonewood specifications.
Q: Can this be shipped internationally?
A: Yes, we ship globally. Please note that due to humidity changes during transit, we recommend letting the instrument acclimate in its case for 24 hours before opening and tuning.
Q: Does this come with a stand or do I need to buy one separately?
A: The package includes the guzheng, bridges, tuning key, and a soft/hard case depending on the specific retailer option, but the playing stand is usually sold separately.
