Great value for authentic pottery

For the price, you get a genuine Qinzhou set. The gaiwan lid fits snugly. Just remember to rinse it thoroughly before the first use to remove any dust from firing.

Lovely set, slight color variation

The teapot and gaiwan are excellent quality. Since it's natural clay, the color varies slightly from the photos, but that adds to the rustic charm. The handle is very comfortable to hold.

A: Qinzhou Nixing clay comes from Guangxi and is known for its fine texture and ability to retain heat, often featuring natural metallic lusters. Yixing clay is from Jiangsu and is famous for its double-pore structure. Both are excellent for tea but offer slightly different brewing characteristics.

Q: How do I clean the unglazed Nixing clay?

A: Simply rinse with hot water after each use. Avoid using soap or detergent as the porous clay can absorb flavors and chemicals. Let it air dry completely before storing.

Q: Is this set safe to use directly on a stove or electric heater?
