Great value for authentic pottery
For the price, you get a genuine Qinzhou set. The gaiwan lid fits snugly. Just remember to rinse it thoroughly before the first use to remove any dust from firing.

Lovely set, slight color variation
The teapot and gaiwan are excellent quality. Since it's natural clay, the color varies slightly from the photos, but that adds to the rustic charm. The handle is very comfortable to hold.

Excellent heat retention
Very impressed with how long this set stays hot. The handled teapot is easy to grip even when filled with boiling water. A fantastic addition to my tea collection.

Elegant and functional
The matte finish looks sophisticated on my tea table. The full-hole filter prevents leaves from clogging the spout. Shipping was fast and everything arrived safely packed.

Beautiful craftsmanship and great pour
The full-hole design really makes a difference; the tea flows smoothly without dripping. The clay feels substantial and keeps the heat well. Highly recommend for oolong teas.

Perfect for my daily Gongfu sessions
I've been using this set every morning for a month. The Nixing clay seems to enhance the flavor of my Pu-erh tea. The bowls are the perfect size for small sips.
Q: Does the teapot come with a built-in strainer?
A: Yes, it features a full-hole design integrated into the clay near the spout, which acts as a natural filter to keep tea leaves inside while pouring.
Q: What is the difference between this and Yixing clay?
A: Qinzhou Nixing clay comes from Guangxi and is known for its fine texture and ability to retain heat, often featuring natural metallic lusters. Yixing clay is from Jiangsu and is famous for its double-pore structure. Both are excellent for tea but offer slightly different brewing characteristics.
Q: How do I clean the unglazed Nixing clay?
A: Simply rinse with hot water after each use. Avoid using soap or detergent as the porous clay can absorb flavors and chemicals. Let it air dry completely before storing.
Q: Is this set safe to use directly on a stove or electric heater?
A: While the clay is heat-resistant, we recommend using it with a separate kettle to boil water and then pouring it into the teapot or gaiwan. Direct flame contact may cause thermal shock if not done carefully by an expert.
Q: Are the bowls stackable for storage?
A: Yes, the bowls are designed to nest slightly, but we recommend placing a soft cloth between them to prevent scratching the natural clay surface during long-term storage.
