American craftsmanship at its best
You can really feel the difference in the weight and balance of this instrument. It stays in tune remarkably well across all registers.

Beautiful sound, heavy case
The flute itself is perfect for my college ensemble. The sound is dark and warm. The only downside is the hard case is quite heavy to carry around campus.

Smooth action
The mechanism is buttery smooth right out of the box. No squeaks or sticky keys. Highly recommend for anyone looking to move up from a beginner flute.

Great upgrade for serious students
Solid construction and beautiful finish. The keys feel very responsive. I deducted one star only because the case latches were a bit stiff initially.

Exceptional Tone Quality
The F100 has a incredibly rich and projecting tone. The response in the third octave is effortless compared to my previous student model.

Worth every penny
I've played on many flutes in this price range, and the Thomason F100 offers the best value. The intonation is spot on and the silver plating is gorgeous.
