No excavation needed is a game changer
As a contractor, I appreciate products that save time. Not having to excavate the floor saves hours of work and prevents dust everywhere. The mechanism is smooth and silent. Highly recommended for framed doors.

Stylish and functional
I bought this for my home office door. It blends in perfectly with the decor because it's nearly invisible when the door is open. The 90-degree hold is strong enough to keep the door open even with a draft.

Exceeded expectations
I was skeptical about a surface-mounted spring holding a heavy wooden door, but this unit is robust. The pivot action is very smooth, and it has held up well over the last three months of daily use.

Perfect for my renovation project
I needed a hinge solution that didn't require cutting into my hardwood floors. This Gutai floor spring was exactly what I was looking for. The 90-degree positioning works flawlessly, and the invisible design looks very sleek.

Great product, instructions could be clearer
The build quality is excellent and it feels very sturdy. Installation was mostly straightforward, though the diagram in the manual was a bit small. Once installed, the door swings smoothly and stays put at 90 degrees.

Solid construction
The materials feel premium. The wood finish matches my door frame nicely. It took about 20 minutes to install. My only minor complaint is that the screws provided were slightly longer than needed for my specific door thickness, but easy to swap out.
Q: Does the 90-degree position lock automatically?
A: Yes, the mechanism features an automatic positioning function that holds the door securely at 90 degrees when opened to that angle.
Q: What tools are needed for installation?
A: You will typically need a power drill, a screwdriver, a measuring tape, and a pencil for marking. An installation template is included in the package to assist with hole placement.
Q: What is the maximum weight of the door this spring can support?
A: The Gutai Floor Spring is rated to support framed wooden doors weighing up to 60 kg (approximately 132 lbs).
Q: Can this be installed on a concrete floor without drilling deep holes?
A: Yes, this model is designed for surface mounting. You only need to drill pilot holes for the screws; no deep excavation or chiseling of the floor is required.
Q: Is this compatible with glass doors?
A: No, this specific model is designed exclusively for framed wooden doors. We recommend checking our glass door series for suitable pivot hinges for glass panels.
