Good value for money
Works as expected for checking surface energy on polyethylene films. The only reason for 4 stars is that the ink seems to dry out slightly faster than premium brands if not capped immediately.

Decent but sensitive to temperature
The pens work well in standard conditions, but we noticed slight variations in flow when used in a cold warehouse. Best to let them acclimate to room temperature before use.
Q: Is this suitable for testing metal surfaces?
A: These pens are primarily formulated for non-porous plastic films and foils. While they can technically mark metal, the results may not correlate standardly with plastic surface energy requirements for printing.
Q: Do you offer a kit with all levels from 28 to 44?
A: Currently, the pens are sold individually by specific dyne level. However, many customers purchase a set of the most common values (e.g., 38, 40, 42) together for comprehensive testing.
Q: How long does the ink remain visible for accurate reading?
A: The ink should be observed within 2 to 3 seconds after application. If it beads up immediately, the surface tension is lower than the pen level; if it stays wet, the surface tension is higher.
Q: What is the shelf life of these test pens?
A: When stored properly with the cap tightly sealed at room temperature, the typical shelf life is approximately 6 to 8 months from the date of manufacture.
Q: Can these pens be refilled once empty?
A: No, these Zhongshui Dyne Pens are designed as single-use disposable items to ensure the accuracy and purity of the test fluid. We recommend purchasing a new pen when the current one runs dry.
